are important. |
|
| The City
Planner is refusing to agree to extend the deadline
for responses, on the basis of the reports not being
made available. |
| He says
those normally aren't circulated anyway. However,
we feel this is not a "normal" parcel
of land ,and , should be taken into consideration
in this case. |

| |
| This
document is a proposal to construct 15 houses on
a 10 Acre parcel adjacent to Patterson - prepared
by Brown & Associates
for La Terra Corporation. |
| |
| PSPS
has not been consulted by the Developer, or the City,
on this plan, nor provided with any details of the
proposal. This proposal appears to be unacceptable
in respect to the policies, and requirements,
approved by City Council under the East Paskapoo
Slopes Area Structure Plan ("The
ASP"). |
| |
| In approving the
ASP Council had instructed City Administration that
PSPS would be one of the groups that must be circulated
and consulted on any development plans for the area.
|
| |
| The circulation
of the proposal has apparently requested responses
to the City Planner, Rob
Mckay (268-5342) by Feb.
16, 2005. |
| |
| Anyone who
would like to express their concerns about this lack
of consultation, or obtain more details about the
plan, should call Rob McKay, Alderman
Craig Burrows and Alderman Dale Hodges (as the two alderman with
direct responsibility for plans on the Slopes and
who will have the lead on dealing with this proposal).
|
| |
| It should be noted
that we have had a long history with Greg Brown of
Brown and Associates - covering many development
proposals on various land parcels on the Slopes
over the last 12 years - so he is well aware of our
group and the fact he should have been circulating
and consulting us on this. |
