Help Preserve Calgary's Paskapoo Slopes |
| |
- Alitalia pizza restaurant (#2,
8607 - 48 Ave. NW in Calgary's Bowness area) is conducting a poll
to determine whether Calgarians would rather see an office park or
a First Nations Cultural Village built on the Paskapoo Slopes.
|
| |
- Everyone who dines in and purchases
a pizza prior to November 28 will be given a ballot.
|
| |
- Currently, the Calgary Olympic Development
Association is proposing a Prestige Office Park be built on the Paskapoo
Slopes.
|
| |
- The Slopes contain more than 100
archaeological sites, showing continuous First Nations habitation
over the past 8,000 years. The area has been described as equivalent
in significance to Head-Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO World Heritage
Site.
|
| |
- We are asking people to soothe their
appetites and register their opinions. In addition, on Tuesdays
and Sundays Alitalia offers pizza at 50% off of the regular
price.
