Notice is being given that the AGM and election of the Board of Directors for the Paskapoo Slopes Preservation Society will be held on Tuesday, March 7, 2006 at7:00 pm, at the home of Cheryl Horrey, 60 – 45 Street S.W.
Please call Cheryl (249-2125) or email her (bchorrey@telusplanet.net) if you plan to attend. All members in good standing are invited to attend and vote on the election of officers of the Society. If you would like to submit your name for election to a position on the Board, please contact Hugh Magill, president, at 298-6501 or Cheryl Horrey, secretary, at 249-2125.
The elected positions on the Board are President, Vice-President, Secretary and Treasurer.
There are also other non-elected volunteer positions available. |

Continued to monitor development plans for the Slopes |

| - Calgary Olympic Park and Adjacent Lands Area Structure Plan (approved) |
| - Regional Pathway Systems planned for the Slopes |
| - Belvedere Ranches at Patterson Development Plan (proposal in progress – 15 houses on 10 acres) |
| - plans by private owners for access roads, restaurants, hotels, etc.; |

Monitored slumping of land from the construction of storm and sewer lines to service the Cougar Ridge development (not yet restored or resolved); |

Attended and presented at Public Hearings on any plans for the Slopes; |

|
Joint Advisory Committee participation along with other organizations and groups with vested interests in the Slopes. |

| Last year, PSPS welcomed back Annette Le Faive, a founding member of the Society. Annette had taken a leave for a few years but she’s once again taking an active part in helping to preserve and protect the natural areas on the Slopes. |

Electronic Newsletter

Communications |
| We thank all those members who have supplied us with their email addresses. Our website, electronic newsletters and email are the easiest, cheapest and most environmentally friendly way of communicating with our members and supporters. We are also looking at amending our original by-laws to allow notification of members of AGM’s by email rather than by ordinary mail. In order to ensure timely and effective communication and notices to our members, please continue sending your updated email addresses to bchorrey@telusplanet.net. |
